Selection Tools Overview
In the Illustrator CC, the selection tools can select and
deselect an object in the document. Using this tool you can move the object
from one place to another. As well as its properties can be changed. That is,
its size can be increased and decreased. The object can also be rotated.
Direct selection tool:
The points of the object can be selected using this tool.
That is, we can select the points of the object. The points can be selected
separately and the points can also be moved, sized, and rotated. We can also
delete points that we do not need.
Group Selection Tool:
Using this tool you can select the grouped object amount in
the document. The above tools select generally grouped objects as a whole but
objects within the group cannot be selected separately. But with this group
selection tool, you can select objects separately and also change their
properties. Single objects can be selected without separating the objects from
the group. Because we work with our artwork no of objects, we can group our
objects even when our work is done so that our work can be done without
difficulty.
Magic Wand Selection Tool:
Selects objects with the same properties that use this tool.
This means that the tool selects objects of the same color and objects with the
same stroke width. You can use this tool to select grouped objects and change
their properties.
Lasso Tool:
You can select objects in a document using this tool. We can
select how we want it. We can select how we want this tool to look like a pen.
You can select as many objects as you want by drawing around the objects.
All these are selection tools and you can select objects
using these tools. You can select and make changes and additions to the
objects. These selection tools play a good key role in our artwork.
